Lonesome Mini Series

I've been watching the new Lonesome Dove mini series this week, "Comanche Moon," and while it's not terrible is sure is kind of shaky.  There's a lot of miscellaneous jumping around and odd plot directions, especially in last night's second episode.

The best parts of the film are probably those with Steve Zahn channeling his inner Robert Duvall who first brought an older Gus McCrae to the screen in "Lonesome Dove" way back in 1989.

Part three airs tonight and skips forward a couple of years from the end of part 2.  We'll see if it ends on a high note.

Disa-fucking-pointing

Did you see that Cowboys - Giants game last night?  I had a growing bad feeling all week and then yesterday morning I knew it was going to be over.  And after watching the Colts go down I just figured it was a foregone conclusion.

And there it was, 21 - 17.  Damn it.

I know one thing, if I were Jerry Jones I would have implemented a policy about week 3 that every foul committed through the season would be $10,000 out of a paycheck because, once again, fouls caused the Cowboys problems.

Whatever.  I've watched more football in the last 4 weeks than in the last 4 years combined.  Held out hope after the 'Boys started off so well but that's it, I'm done with them again.

Romo, I hope you got fat blow job from your girlfriend last night because that's the only way to finish off a day of suck.

Terminated

Anyone catch the new show last night, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles?"  Not bad overall.

Plenty of action, Lena Headey makes a good Sarah Connor and while I'm not a huge fan of Summer Glau, she does make a hot Terminator.

Basically the show picks up a couple years after Terminator 2: Judgment Day and follows Sarah and John Connor as the inevitable D-Day approaches.  I haven't followed any of the info leading up to the debut so I can't give you any details on the show itself.  Have to check it out for yourselves.

It's got 12 episodes in the can according to IMDB and is basically just a mid-season filler show for FOX.  We'll see if it makes it past week 3...maybe 4.  We all know what fickle bitches there are running that network.  Although, with the writers strike still on it's not like they have anything else to run.

Anyway, if you missed last night's episode see if it's streaming on the web somewhere.  Then tune in tonight for part two of its two night debut.
