Net Enigma. You have spoken.
Twenty nine of you have spoken, anyway. And what you said was that Elisha Cuthbert, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Angelina Jolie and Eliza Dushku are the four broads that you want to see battle it out in the next round of the "128 Hottest Chicks" bracket.
In a surprising 5 vote win, Cuthbert had the blonde-bimbo power to defeat Jennifer Love in the Irresistible Eight. Guess you were able to resist the charms of the hot brunette from Texas. Well, Cuthbert it is. She'll showdown against Rebecca next round.
I thought Denise Richards might be able to pull out a win here, but 1 vote was the difference that sent Rebecca Romijn to the Final Four. It'll be blonde-on-blonde in the west bracket next round.
Angelina Jolie continued her domination of the east bracket by trouncing Natalie Portman 21-8. Looks like Jolie is probably unstoppable.
Eliza Dushku fought a tough round with Jessica Alba to come out 1 vote ahead to advance. Will she have enough against Jolie? Doubtful, but we'll see.
Ralph will be putting the final touches on the next round and it should be live by, probably, 1:00pm today (if not sooner). I'm headed out the door in a little bit so I had to post this up now. Have fun in the Final Four!
Headed down to Philly today for a weekend of fun. Tomorrow night I'm going to see Qualler and Lifelong play a live show at Club HP. Ought to be really good and if you're in the area, drop in. Won't have any new updates till Sunday night/Monday. So have a fun weekend.

Just 24 hours left till the end of the Irresistible Eight. We had some last-minute voters last round and I'm hoping for the same this time too! Get them votes in!
It's begun. My old favorites are coming back and the networks are unleashing a new family of atrocious shows on us. Some of the new crop of TV shows may be the next hit, but I think some of them have a lifespan of about 13 episodes...maybe.
Tuesday night I watched a new WB show called "One Tree Hill." It's the WB's attempt at replacing the 6 year run of "Dawson's Creek." Although this show has no creek, it does have Chad Murray who did a long stint on "Dawson's" in season 5. It also had it's obligatory Dawson and Joey reference...barely 15 minutes into it.
In "OTH" Murray plays Lucas Scott, the illegitimate son of a successful local man named Dan Scott. Supposedly his mother, played by Moira Kelly, had a relationship with Dan right at the end of her senior year of high school...that produced Lucas. This Dan guy must have been a real pimp though, because he has another son (who's mother hasn't been mentioned yet) named Nathan that is the same age as Lucas.
Unlike Lucas, who he doesn't even acknowledge, Nathan is the Golden Child and the star basketball player in the local high school. Lucas, who also has the hoop-gene, is just a lowly street-baller who is tossed onto the varsity team with his half-brother after half the team is suspended for drinking.
"OTH" has the standard WB hotties in newcomer Hilarie Burton (fresh from MTV's TRL), who plays the 3rd point in a soon-to-be love triangle with Lucas and Nathan, and Joie Lenz, the hot friend that Lucas ignores.
Overall the story was kind of interesting, there was sufficient eye candy and the acting was fine. The whole premise of the story though, I don't know about. The cast of characters, on the show, are all about 16 and the school year is already into, at least, November. Basketball is in full swing and is the main background for the sibling rivalry this show will be about. At 16 these guys are probably Juniors, Sophomores if you really want to stretch, and will only have 1 1/2 years of school left. How can you build any type of long-term show on that? Even "Dawson's Creek" realized that they could only show their standard 4 years of high school and then had to turn them loose. Even if this show catches on, it has a lifespan of 2 seasons at best.
I'll watch, but I'll also be looking for my mid-season replacement.
"Navy NCIS" on CBS. This spin-off of one of CBS' cornerstone shows, "JAG," follows a team of investigators as they catch murderers, terrorists and other criminals. Feeling more like a spin-off of the "CSI" franchise, this show stars Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly (late of the FOX network show "Dark Angel") and Sasha Alexander (another "Dawson's Creek" alumna).
We were introduced to the Harmon and Weatherly characters last spring in a special 2-part "JAG" episode so they didn't waste a ton of time with character development in this first episode.
The storyline was a well-planned mystery involving a terrorist attempt to assassinate the President of the US. The basic story isn't anything we haven't seen before, add to that the fact that it takes over a cushy Tuesday timeslot, and this show will probably have some legs.
The only down side to this is that my show, "JAG," is now relegated to a 9:00 p.m. slot on Friday night.
Net Enigma. Boom chick-a bow-wow...
VOTE! Like 21 of your friends have done already. Thursday night, 11:59 is the cutoff for the Irresistible Eight.
No matter how bad of a day you are having, just remember it could always be worse. Just look at the Detroit Tigers. With a 12-6 loss to KC Monday night they drop to 38-118. I don't think there is a softball team in a beer league anywhere in the US that couldn't beat this team. And every player? Makes more this year than I made in the last 5. Maybe I should try for a walk-on spot in March...

Boo-Ya! Round 4, The Sexy Sixteen, came to an interesting end Thursday night. I feel there were two upsets that I was surprised about, and which ruined my final 16 predictions, but the rest I think seems about right. Anyway, here's my assessment of the Sexy Sixteen round.
Elisha Cuthbert pulled a 1 vote win over Alley Bagget who'd been gaining momentum heading into this round. She now comes against a very strong Jennifer Love Hewitt who blew away Krista Allen. No big surprise on either of these two votes, even Hewitt's 11 point margin of victory. Cuthbert has been so strong to this point she may steamroll Hewitt but I'm holding out hope that Jennifer's girl-next-door appeal can put an end to Cuthbert's winning streak.
The next west match-up wasn't really a big surprise as Denise Richards rang up a 7 point margin to send Stacey Kiebler home. I'm surprised that Richards has made it this far, but as I look back, she really didn't have that difficult of a competition so far. Her Irresistible Eight match might prove her undoing though. That match will be against...
Rebecca Romijn-Stamos who pulled a 5 point victory over Kristanna Loken to advance. I had picked Kristanna to go all the way to the championship round but that's not to be. I do feel, however, that it didn't matter who won this match, either girl could send Richards home. We'll see.
Heading over to the east bracket we have the first upset, in my mind. Angelina Jolie pulled a 1 point victory over a very strong Jennifer Walcott. The ongoing love-fest with Jolie baffles me. This close vote though, may mean she's losing some momentum. But, so is her competition in the next round.
That competition comes from an also-fading Natalie Portman. Portman who put up some good numbers against stiff competition faded to a single point margin of victory as she dispatched Sienna Miller 15-14. Miller, who I'm a big fan of, surprised me by making it this far in the game and a 1 point loss is nothing to scoff at. Portman-Jolie will be interesting this round.
Eliza Dushku, gaining momentum each round, easily dealt with her former WB buddy, Katherine Heigl. Our other 20-9 victor, Dushku now goes toe-to-toe with the other upset winner of the Sexy Sixteen...
Jessica Alba. Undeniably hot, Alba walked through some tough competition by defeating Stefani, Kournikova, Witt and now Laetitia Casta. Can she get past Dushku? I doubt it, but that vote in the Irresistible Eight will be a tough one for many.
And as we roll into the Irresistible Eight the game just keeps getting better. We had a low turnout for the Sexy Sixteen with only 29 total votes. Come on people, there are only 3 rounds left! You have to get out and vote and help us send off this game in style. I want so many votes in these last rounds that it takes me 3 hours to do all the totals. So tell your friends, your relatives, the homeless bum outside your public library. Tell anyone who'll listen. Then give'em a quarter.
Net Enigma. Oh, Isabel! Nah, she wasn't a problem.
The Sexy Sixteen has now come to a conclusion and the Irresistible Eight is now ready to begin! The link at top is active, starting us on the final 3 rounds of voting. Start getting those votes in. You know the drill, 11:59p.m. next Thursday (25th) the voting will be over.
I'm heading out for a day of beer and movies so I'll do a rundown on the latest bracket tonight. But the updated list of winners is available at the bracket link...and, of course, you'll know who won if you play. But stop back for my witty commentary later anyway.
Net Enigma. Isabel? Who's that.
Eh, the bracket game is working...sort of. If you are on dial-up you have to be kind of patient while the pictures load. If they just don't load, period, and we'll figure something out. After this round there will be fewer pictures (fewer girls) so they should load a little better.
Anyway, broadband users shouldn't have any issues. So, end time will be tonight, Thursday, at 11:59 so you have about 24 hours left. Get those last minute votes in!
So, Isabel is on it's way north and it looks like we could get swamped up here in NY. I'll celebrate the storm by locking myself away in the theater watching Underworld and Once Upon a Time in Mexico Friday. Of course, that will follow beers and ribs at the Dinosaur!
Net Enigma.
Get those votes in! You only have till Thursday night at 11:59 to vote in the Sexy Sixteen bracket. We have 22 votes right now and I want to see at least 30 in my inbox by the time we wrap this up!
Ralph was looking into the problem with the pictures not loading (for me on dial-up anyway) but even though it worked a little better for me last night, it's still not right. I'll have him look at it again today and see if he can figure it out. If not, I may add a day or two to the vote till we get it working...wouldn't want anyone to miss out on some hot pictures.
Net Enigma. I've lived to regret almost everything I've ever done.
Alright, we have a problem. Nobody dropped me an email on this but tonight I tried, for the first time, to run the "128 Hottest" bracket and none of the pictures loaded for me after the first set. I'm on dial-up and I even let it sit for a while knowing that there were multiple pictures for each match-up.
I didn't have the problem when I tested it on broadband but now I'm kind of pissed. I'll see about getting that fixed up first thing today (Tuesday).
If you have problems with pictures not loading and would like to re-submit your vote, email me and let me know.
Word is, the power couple that birthed the still-born Gigli movie a month ago has broken up. I wept with joy.
Not that I wish ill will on either of them (though J.Lo could disappear tomorrow and I wouldn't care) but I could just use a break from the massive amounts of media attention the two have gotten. And it's sort of just punishment for Affleck after foisting Lopez on KS for his Jersey Girl movie. God, I hope that movie doesn't suck.
In related news, Mewes is out of rehab!
I know September isn't over yet, but I relegated the 1st - 10th to the News page since it was getting too big here.
In other changes, I'll be bringing back the News Archive pages so you'll be able to go back to...I don't know, 2001 or something, and read old articles and shit.
I'll also be changing the Party Up! and Vault pages. They are just stagnant, nothing new going into them and, well, boring. You've all seen it before (if you cared to look) and it's just not interesting anymore. But, don't worry. I'll do something to maintain some of the shots. I know a couple Thomas Group employees that can't do without their daily dose of Sabrina.
So this contest has been a real blast so far. We're in the Sexy Sixteen round and the votes have been rolling in (and will KEEP rolling in, right!?). All the feedback I've received so far has been positive and people have been excited. Glad we could help.
And because it's been such a success, I thought I'd introduce you to the people behind the game.
First up we have, left to right, Finley the brainstormer ("When
the fuck are you going to get this game done!?"), Big-E (you're
lovable yet quirky web master), The Chief and some guy we found in the street
(actually, it's J-Ass, but don't tell him).
In this second
picture we have Ralph in a candid moment. As you can see from
this photo he's the perfect person to program up all the Flash you
see in the game. His unique perspective and creativity gives
a him the ability to flourish in any environment.
I'd tell you who Ralph's friend is, but then I'd have to kill you.
Seth and Joey should be having their baby any day now (if they didn't already). You'd think that Seth or at least Mike-Dog would email me and let me know but I haven't heard shit. You'd think that getting Seth piss drunk and letting him sleep it off in in my car would earn me some respect and consideration. Ah, well.
Looks like my trip to Philly is on for the 27th. Heading down for a show at Club HP, which will be an all ages show. Both Qualler and Lifelong are playing that show. Get out and give the boys some support.
Net Enigma. I had the perfect life. Till I was in a coma for 6 years.
I can not stress enough how much you should not EVER put music on a home page. Put music on there for downloading or whatever, but there is no easier way to guarantee that I won't read your web page than to put music on it. It's even worse if you don't put a control to turn it off independently from the rest of the page.

A lot of votes rolled in yesterday and this morning and the Sexy Sixteen is on it's way! Had a note from Bill who had problems with his email not coming up with his votes in it. If you have the same problem, just write down your picks (left girl = 1, right = 2) in an email and send it directly to .
Haven't done one of these updates in a couple weeks because of the game. But I kind of promised that I'd put these shots up. A month or so ago I did a HBYNHO update and introduced you to Sienna Miller. Well, at the same time I mentioned another broad by the name of Rachael Buckley.
Now Rachael, who's just as hot, was a little harder to track down pictures for. She's new on the scene and is a British model. Well, a good chap by the name of Tim Horne sent me the following pictures of Rachael that he found. He also sent me her stats from one of the sites; 5'8" 34c-25-36. So, here's the yummy Rachael Buckley:

It's time to move to DSL or Cable Internet service when you leave your dial-up account on so long, your ISP disconnects you. Did you know that Earthlink has a 24 hour time limit? Huh, neither did I till last night. Ah well, I have some good porn downloads to show for it. Heh.
A while back I posted about Ernie's House of Whoopass running their annual "Best Tits on the List" contest. Well, since then there hadn't been many updates. Seems Ernie had 4-wheeler accident that left him with a bruised spine and a concussion.
But, fear not, the swelling in his head has gone down and he's made some updates and posted new pictures. So head over and increase the swelling in your head. Um, your other head. And read the recap of his accident.
Net Enigma. If you watch how I move you mistake me for a playa or pimp.
Thirty one votes in Round 3 of the "128 Hottest Chicks" paved the way for 16 lucky ladies to move into Round 4 or the Sexy Sixteen. The blondes did well in this round with some people voting fantasy over hotness in some cases (Ralph!), but there is no denying the fact that if any of these chicks showed up at your place you would open the door wide!
Most of the votes in this round were close. There was one 1 vote winner and a lot of 2 and 3 vote winners. The choices were a lot harder this round. Only two chicks broke 20 votes, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Eliza Dushku. It's only getting tougher! Let's get into a quick wrap-up in case you'd rather read this than check the bracket up top.
That blonde fantasy I mentioned? It was very apparent in the first match-up as Elisha Cuthbert pulled a 3 vote win over Rhona Mitra to advance. Elisha took a huge lead in the first couple of days but Rhona had some fans right up till the last minute. Couldn't quite close the gap though.
Alley Bagget, on the other hand, had not much trouble defeating the WWE's Torrie Wilson 18-12. I don't think she'll get past Cuthbert this round. More on my predictions later.
In the closest vote this round, Monica Bellucci went down 16-15 to a surprisingly strong Krista Allen. Italian sexiness couldn't overcome west coast bikini.
The big winner in Round 3, Jennifer Love went big over Milla Jovovich to come out on top 25-6. Cuthbert could possibly be the only competition between her and a spot in the championship.
Seven votes was the difference for Denise Richards in her win over Jodi Lyn O'Keefe. We'll see if she can overcome Stacey Kiebler who used her 42" legs to step over Kristy Swanson in an 18-13 win.
The battle of the blondes, Romjin-Stamos and Witherspoon, was also a close vote, but the leggy Romjin-Stamos had 3 votes over Witherspoon to advance.
The final west bracket vote was Kristanna Loken, maintaining her popularity, over Kate Beckinsale. Beckinsale, the beautiful Brit, couldn't overcome the exotic Norwegian-American hotness of Loken. Possibly boosted by her role as the T-X in the latest Terminator film, Loken is probably final 4 bound.
Over on the east side we had, probably, the two most interesting votes. And, if you've checked the bracket yet, you'll know that in the biggest vote of Round 3, Angelina Jolie pulled out a 19-12 victory over Shannon Elizabeth. I was a little surprised by the 7 vote difference though, I thought it would be closer. But, you spoke, and Jolie advances to take on...
Jennifer Walcott who overcame Ali Landry by 5 votes. After Landry destroyed my girl, Kristina Anapau in Round 3 I was afraid she might have the momentum but I guess Walcott's 27 point victory over Traci Lords in the previous round was too much to overcome.
Sienna Miller, a pleasant surprise going into the Sexy Sixteen, was able to sneak past Salma Hayek by 3 votes. Maybe getting this round done before Hayek steamed up the big screen with her new movie Once Upon a Time in Mexico helped.
The vote that I was watching closely between Natalie Portman and Keira Knightley didn't go my way. Knightley lost out by 5 votes to a strong Portman.
Eliza Dushku, however, made short work of her opponent, Liv Tyler, by being only the second chick to clear 20 votes in her 21-10 win. She now gets to go against another former WB network star, Katherine Heigl, who squeaked past Lisa Dergan by three votes.
The fiery redhead, Alicia Witt, was no match for Jessica Alba who earned her way into the Sexy Sixteen to go head-to-head with Laetitia Casta who went 5 votes up on Jaime Pressly to finish out the east bracket.
Very good round, if you ask me! Exciting stuff still to come though. Like I mentioned briefly yesterday, this round of voting may not really be safe for work. There are some nudes in the mix this round as well as a little special feature we added. Beginning this round each match-up will feature a slideshow of pictures for each girl. So before you cast your votes based on name only, let the pictures load and rotate through! You're sure to enjoy.
Now, like I mentioned last week, I have my predictions for the next couple rounds as well as my pick for the winner. Of course this is just my personal pick, vote how you want and we'll see how it works out. Anyway, if you want to see how I filled out the final rounds of my bracket, click the link: Big-E's Bracket Picks.
John Ritter and Johnny Cash. They both passed away this week and it's a sad day all around.
John Ritter has always been a funny guy to watch. "Three's Company," the Problem Child movies, even his role as a killer robot on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." His new sitcom, "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter" was a pretty good show.
Johnny Cash. I remember listening to 8 track tapes of Cash when I was a kid. I was raised on varying amounts of country music and you couldn't do that without having Johnny in the rotation. The Man in Black was one of those cool cats that did things his way, lived his life and left us all better because of it.
Johnny Cash may have sung "I fell in to a burning ring of fire/went down, down down and the flames went higher," but Cash certainly didn't go that way Friday morning. I hope he's sitting on a porch somewhere with June Carter at his side and a guitar in his hands.
"They're like the show-business version of the Taliban." - Grokster President Wayne Rosso on the RIAA lawsuit against a 12 year old NYC girl.
"Your job as an actor is to be malleable," Kidman told The Associated Press. "Your body, your voice. What I aspire to is to be where you say, this is an instrument, my identity is not what I'm bringing to the role. What I'm bringing is the ability to give over to the piece.
"And that means what you want as an actress in this industry is to have a face that can be changed, is to have a voice that can change, is to have a body that can change the way it moves so that it can morph into different beings."
That quote is from Nicole Kidman talking about the two movies she currently has playing at the Toronto Film Festival. All I have to say is "Duh." She makes that statement like it's some kind of fucking revelation that no one has ever come up with before or that she just realized. Maybe I sort of take it out of context, not knowing what kind of question she was asked, but changing who YOU are to become a role is exactly what being an actor is about!
Look at people like Chris Cooper, De Niro, Vincent D'Onofrio. Those guys have been doing exactly that for years! Hell, even Stallone tried it when he bulked up for Cop Land. Anytime you see an actor in a movie and don't recognize them right away because they are so into their character? There it is. Whatever.
Round 4, known as the Sexy Sixteen is now active and ready for voting! The bracket has been updated to show the winners from Round 3 so be sure to check that out as well! I'll have a write-up later.
And, as a nice surprise for everyone that's hung in through this game so far, the pictures in this round have been updated again! Now, a word of caution, you may really end up with your pants off after this round. So, some of the pictures are probably NSFW (Not Safe For Work). You may want to vote at home or play hunchback over your monitor if you're in the office. But, it's a short round and WELL worth your time.
This round runs from now till 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, September 18th. If you missed out on the last round, this is the perfect time to get back in!
That's it! Voting in Round 3 is over! We have the votes added up and the bracket with the winners should be posted in about an hour or so. Round 4, a.k.a. the Sexy Sixteen will be online later in the day. Stay tuned!
Net Enigma. Colors may vary.
Alright, 12 noon today is the cutoff for votes on Round 3 of the bracket. Get those last minute votes in. Unless something unforeseen happens we should have Round 4 ready to go again by about 6:00 or so.
As of right now there are a few clear winners but with only 31 votes at the time I write this, there are at least 2 votes that could still swing either way! So, if you haven't voted, or have been waiting for one of the final rounds to get back in, don't, otherwise your Chick might not still be there!
I don't feel that any update is needed today. Use the day to take stock of what you have in your life, what we've been through over the last two years and what the future holds.

If you don't want to get sued by the RIAA then this page has some information for you: Electronic Frontier Foundation. You can even use their search page to see if your name is on the RIAA's hit list. If it is, expect to get your paperwork soon. If not, feel free to browse the Internet and download MP3's without a jimmy hat. Or...um. You know what I mean.
Frivolous lawsuits. In another fine example of how fucking dumb companies are, the manufacturers of Slip 'N' Slide want the producers of Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star to pull the movie or, at least, give a disclaimer that the Slip 'N' Slide should not be used without water. This after the product was featured in David Spade's new movie where he tries to slide on it without water. Full Story >>
Now, this so fucking ridiculous. First off, one of their arguments is that the movie used the name brand of the toy without permission. Fine, whatever. But the fact is, the Slip 'N' Slide could use some free press. And second, even in the freakin' trailer the kids with Dickie tell him not to use it without water. I mean, the damn writers even built in a disclaimer of sorts. Gimme a break.
But, in true Net Enigma form, let's take this lawsuit to the Nth degree. If you follow the logic on this then every movie with a gun, car chase, fight scene or, hell, every fucking movie EVER PRODUCED should need a disclaimer. Next time you see Casablanca look for the Surgeon General's cigarette warning to scroll across the screen every time Bogart burns one. (Better yet, let Spielberg edit those smokes into walkie-talkies)
This could put Stallone out of a job as the disclaimers that would have to run during all his movies would be longer than the film themselves (not to mention, possibly, more entertaining).
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King will have credits full of stuff. "No Orcs were harmed during the production of this film. If they actually existed. Which is to say that if they did, we would not condone the wholesale slaughter of them for the good of mankind. All Hobbits involved with the making of this film agreed to be called 'wee folk' in order to maintain the accuracy of Jackson's film to the Tolkien novel written 50 years ago when such language, as opposed to 'little people,' 'vertically challenged' or 'diminutively inclined', was more accepted by society. Elves do not live to be 1000's of years old so please do not attempt to extend your lifespan by growing long hair, having plastic surgery to give your ears a point or wander in public places, except during regulated hunting periods, with a bow and arrows or sword, which would be acceptable at no times. Cloaks, Elven or not, are gay and only women should wear a leaf broach, otherwise you may get your ass kicked. All walking trees in this film were paid scale."
I can't wait to see Underworld in two weeks (Note - Werewolves do not actually exist. If scratched by a dog, however, seek medical treatment as infection may set in. If you see a "vampire," do not panic, it is most likely just a "Goth" hanging out on the Ithaca commons).

Alright, Round 2 is over and the results are posted. Hit the bracket link up top to see final scores and the match-ups for the next round.
The banner link is live so vote away! This round will run from, well, now, till Friday, September 12th at 11:59am (that's NOON ON FRIDAY!). Vote early and tell your friends!
Quick announcement before I break into a recap of Round 2. I updated the rules to put in a section on how we're going to handle ties if/when we have any. We've had odd numbers of voters in the first two rounds so it wasn't a problem but after seeing how close a couple of the votes were I think we want to avoid a possible problem. So, check out the rules and if you any questions, .
As Round 2 comes to a close there are some more interesting developments and some extremely interesting match-ups coming in the next round. At this point it's anyone's game as some of (what I thought) the stronger competition took big losses in round 2.
In the West bracket of 32 chicks Rhona Mitra took on a strong Meg Ryan and defeated her to move on to Round 3. She'll come up against a surprisingly strong Elisha Cuthbert who has steamrolled over Dalene Kurtis and Angie Everhart to advance.
Alley Bagget pulled out a close one over Beyonce to take on Torrie Wilson in Round 3.
Monica Bellucci, in what could be the upset of the game, took out Charlize Theron by one vote to advance. Early picks by Ralph and James Bocks had Theron in the Final 4 but no more! It'll be interesting to see what Bellucci does against Krista Allen who took out Famke Janssen in Round 2.
Milla Jovovich showed well against Kylie Minogue but she'll be up against Jennifer Love who squeaked out a 1 vote win over Paris Hilton (to my glee!).
Jody Lyn O'Keefe continues on by taking out Jennifer Sky in a close one while Denise Richards ran over a strong Daisy Fuentes.
Proving that fake boobs and a Playboy spread will do wonders for
the career, Kristy Swanson easily handled the hot and brainy Erica
Hill in Round 2. Stacey Kiebler and her all-natural 42" legs are
next.
Rebecca Romjin, who was one of my early picks to be in the Final 4,
took out Jolene Blalock but will now run into Reese Witherspoon who
is coming off a huge 21 point win over Michelle Rodriguez.
In the final two match-ups from the west bracket Kate Beckinsale took out Rebecca Gayheart to get at Kristanna Loken who easily defeated Ashley Scott.
As good as the match-ups in Round 3 of the west bracket are going to be, the East has some HUGE battles.
The two juggernaughts of rounds 1 and 2, Angelina Jolie and Shannon Elizbeth, will go head-to-head in Round 3 after winning their respective battles over Jessica Biel and Trish Stratus. These two broads have combined in the first two rounds for a whopping 119 votes compared to a measly 29 combined votes for their opponents. Round 3 could seal a final 4 slot for one of these two chicks...this is the match to watch in the upcoming round.
The second match-up on the East bracket will be Ali Landry, coming off two solid wins, against top contender Jennifer Walcott who has put up Jolie and Elizabeth-sized numbers in the first two rounds.
The Brit Sienna Miller took out the Hawaiian beauty Kelly Hu in round 2 to take on a fading Salma Hayek. After walking over Asia Argento in Round 1, Hayek found it much more difficult to get past an equally strong Charisma Carpenter. Buffy fans wept.
Natalie Portman gained a lot of fans in her win over Angela Vanderwal but that may not be good enough to overcome the continued hotness that is her Star Wars handmaiden, Keira Knightly. These two look-alikes will do battle since Keira easily defeated the songbird, Amy Lee. This is the match that I personally will be the most interested in in Round 3.
Winning Rround 1 26-9 and Round 2 25-14 against Paige Butcher, Eliza Dushku strolls into Round 3 against Liv Tyler. Tyler, turning in similar numbers (28-7 and 25-14) in her wins over Anne Heche and Brooke Langton could pull an upset over Dushku who has a lot of buzz going forward.
Katherine Heigl, another personal favorite, stepped past Alexus Winston to get a shot at Lisa Dergan in Round 3. Dergan who easily defeated Dita Von Teese in Round 2 is strong, but is she Katherine Heigl strong? We'll see soon enough.
Jessica Alba, probably to no ones surprise, defeated Anna Kournikova (who's used to losing big matches ;-) ) in Round 2 to get her shot at a surprisingly strong Alicia Witt.
The final match for the East bracket will be Laetitia Casta against Jaime Pressly. Casta beat the natural double-D Petra Verkaik 24-15 on her way to Round 3. Jaime Pressly has had little problems so far with Portia de Rossi and Amanda Peet but may meet her end soon.
Man oh, man. Round 3 is going to be tough!
The Jolie/Elizabeth match is going to be the hardest vote this round for most but I feel that the Portman/Knightly vote may be the most interesting. I think the winner of the Jolie match-up is probably destined for the Final 4 but the rest of the East field is still wide open.
Theron, the early favorite of a lot of people, had a great chance at the Final 4 but the West bracket is now a big crap shoot.
Rhona Mitra, Elisha Cuthbert and Torie Wilson have so far turned in large wins but Wilson did so against easy competition. Cuthbert and Mitra put up good numbers against stronger competition but those two are going at it this round with the winner destined for a showdown with Wilson should she make it to Round 4.
Now that she's past Theron, Bellucci could sail into the Final 4 with the only other East contestant putting up sizable numbers being Kristanna Loken
Be looking for my Final 4 prediction after Round 3 when we see who's still standing for the Sexy Sixteen round!
Net Enigma. Too tired for a quote.
Round 2 is now OVER! I tallied the votes up last night and it's just a matter of confirming my results with Ralph today and we'll be able to announce the winners.
Now, we should be able to turn the bracket around and have it ready to go for tomorrow (Saturday) but we'll have to see as the day goes on. I'm going to tentatively schedule Round 3 for Saturday, September 6th to Thursday, September 11th at 11:59pm.
Like I said before, after the first 2 rounds we might move a little quicker so be ready!!! If something happens and we slide the start date I'll adjust the end date as well. Check back here tonight/tomorrow for your winners and possibly Round 3.
In life there are a lot of Do's and Don'ts that we learn as we get older and wiser. For example;
Do eat all your vegetables. Don't hit it raw on the first date.
Do hit on your friends hot sister. Don't marry her.
Do go to spring break at least once in your life. Don't stay drunk on Southern Comfort for 2 1/2 days straight while there.
Do be a pimp. Don't be this guy.
Just 6 hours left in round 2 of "The 128 Hottest Chicks we could think of...at the time" contest so get your votes in if you haven't done it yet!
Net Enigma. Ah, he's just a kid from the sticks.
On the CBS Evening News last night there was a story about the wounded soldiers in Iraq. One part of the report focused on the RPG and the reporters made it sound like they were shocked at the popularity of the RPG. They even made it sound like the military may have been shocked by its proliferation throughout the country.
Well, shit. I could have told you that they were going to be a problem. Hell, all you have to have done is see pretty much any Stallone movie made in the '80's and you should know that the RPG is more popular in the Mid East that bubblegum is on a high school cheerleading squad. The fucking gun control nuts in the US don't realize how freaking lucky they are. Imagine what these people would do if I started walking around town with my 9mm strapped on in plain sight?
Man, they'd keel over and die walking through some of these countries where every other person has an AK-47 slung over their shoulder and their buddy probably has an RPG stuck under his arm.
Net Enigma. Yeah, boi!
Vacation, vacation, vacation. Noting beats a three day weekend. Well, a three WAY, maybe, but, nonetheless, it was a long weekend and I had some fun.
And so did y'all. Because right now I have 29 votes on round 2 of the "128 Hottest Chicks" bracket. Remember, this round will end Thursday night at 11:59pm so get your votes in if you haven't done that yet. And tell your friends about it!
Big thanks to James Bocks for the "Sports Center" critique of round 1!
Oh, and Seth, get your email, cause your votes didn't come through.
Tuesday nights on FOX has been this new series called "The O.C." and it's been kind of good. It's got this hot broad in it by the name of Mischa Barton who hit my radar after guest starring on "Fastlane" last spring. And it's also got a hot broad by the name of Melinda Clarke who can hit my radar, or my car, or upside my head if it would get me anywhere with her. But I digress.
The funky thing about this show is it's excessive use of the sucker punch. In every episode till tonight someone has gotten sucker punched and then in a brawl. Last week it was the embezzling father but up to that point it had been the boy-out-of-place-in-Orange-County doing the punching. Tonight though, something different, a gun was pulled and someone got shot.
As one of the lead characters said in tonight's episode, "this is Long Beach, not Bosnia." Well, tonight looked like Bosnia and if it was, next week we should get a full-on North Korean nuclear war. We'll see.
"Nip/Tuck," the rather interesting F/X show about plastic surgeons laid on some cool stuff tonight. Mainly the Ben-Afflecking of Matt, the caring doctors eldest.
I'll cut through the first several weeks of show and get to the point that Matt was in love with a broad but then caught her making out with another chick. Her lesbianism didn't turn him off but when he sees her having trouble with her girlfriend he offers to help. Three-way ensues. Sort of.
To help her, cause her girlfriend still wants to drive a stick shift once in a while, he volunteers for said three-way. In the middle of it he gets a kiss from the girlfriend and it's on! And once again, it's proven that a Ben-Afflecked male can bring any lesbian back to her senses.
As a side note on that, the girlfriend is also a Vegan so I was SO hoping we'd answer that "spit or swallow" question...maybe next week.
Shit happened somewhere. Someone got killed, someone "sexed up" documentation, a politician lied, an actor/actress couple broke up, somebody was a racist but now has a black friend so it's okay, the Earth will end on March 21, 2014 and 111 people aren't going to die.
In other news, Charlie Bronson died at the age of 81. Chuck was a mans man staring in such awesome roles as Bernardo in The Magnificent Seven, Wladislaw in The Dirty Dozen, and Paul Kersey in the Death Wish movies.
Most people will probably have seen one of the Death Wish movies but if you want to see a great movie, The Magnificent Seven is it. A Western adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's The Seven Samurai, the movie starred not only Chuck but Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Eli Wallach and James Coburn. It's a deep movie that's well written and should be on your "must see" list if you're a movie fan.
I hate to say it, but it looks like Canada can't be blamed for the blackout in the northern US a couple weeks ago.
Oh, and in all "fairness" to the French Canadians;
