Good News and Shitty Fucking News

Good news, tomorrow is the release day for Zack and Miri Make a Porno!  Hooray, new Kevin Smith!  I'll be at the theater sometime in the afternoon, hope you'll all be out as well.

Now for the really shitty fucking news; that asshat Harvey Weinstein has pushed the release for Fanboys AGAIN!  That motherfucker has pushed it out of 2008 and into January 2009 in order to "do a major promotion with Comcast, who's arranging for a big advertising tie-in for us on the film."

Great, the biggest motherfuckers in movie houses and the biggest motherfuckers in the cable business are teaming up.  Just what the entertainment industry needs.

Anyone that follows the movie industry knows that January isn't one of the big movie months of the year.  It's where films go to die when the studio has no faith in them (cancer plot) or they know the movie is going to suck (cancerless plot).

Gee, I so fondly remember back in May 2007 when this movie was just about to be released and Kyle Newman and the boys wowed us with all those wonderful clips from the movie...

God I hate the Weinsteins.  Of course, the irony here is that without them, Smith's films wouldn't be getting released.

Porno Time!

Two weeks from today we'll get to see the newest movie release from Kevin Smith; Zack and Miri Make a Porno.  With Seth Rogen starring in the film, and Kevin's writing and directing, it's sure to be hilarious.

What's not hilarious is the asinine advertisers that are refusing to run the promos for the film just based on the the word "porno" in the title.  To them I give a hearty "Fuck youse!"  I'll be in the theater for opening night of the film and urge you all to do the same.

HBYNHO

Today I've got a good dose of Hot Broads You've Never Heard Of.  Opening in theaters today is a film called Max Payne Payne is based on the lead character of a video game that came out out a few years ago and stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis.  While Mila Kunis is hot in her own right, the girl I'm highlighting is Olga Kurylenko.

You may have seen her last year in Hitman (or not, as the movie didn't hit any box office records) but, if not, you'll definitely want to get to know her before Quantum of Solace opens in November and she becomes the latest Bond Girl.
